Following years of major-label frustrations and a string of increasingly lackluster releases, Weezer have reportedly returned to the charming, angsty pop of their alt-rock glory days on their forthcoming album, Hurley. That record, a follow-up to last year’s surprisingly strong Raditude, is the band’s first for legendary imprint Epitaph Records. And the early consensus seems to be that the album truly reflects the label’s indie spirit.
