Ron Jeremy. Burt Reynolds. Alex Trebek (occasionally). Is there any more iconic symbol of testosterone-fueled sexual potency than the dirt squirrel, er, mustache? Actually, yes. Dozens. Even so, such is the notion behind Stache Bash 2009, a traveling rock ’n’ roll side show celebrating that most peculiar of facial hairstyles, the ’stache. Featuring three (ironically?) mustachioed rock outfits, the show is guaranteed to tickle your upper lip, and quite possibly your funny bone. But with chops to match their, well, chops, Della Valle (pictured), The Flavor Savers and Mustache! prove that they are far more than just pretty, hairy faces. So rock a ’stache this Thursday, April 9, at the Higher Ground Showcase Lounge. And who knows? You just might go home as the “Mustache King of Burlington,” which is apparently a good thing.
