Much like reigning gypsy punks Gogol Bordello or Luminescent Orchestrii, Slavic Soul Party! meld fiery Eastern European influences with headstrong Western sensibilities. Unlike the former groups, however, SSP channel their worldly sound through the shimmering bells of a nine-piece Balkan brass band and draw inspiration directly from the diverse ethnic landscape of their native New York City.
