First Place

Abstract landscapists Sandra Berbeco and Sara Katz present a shared exhibit entitled “Paintings/Place” at the 215 Artists’ Cooperative Gallery in Burlington through May 18. Both are strong painters who simplify form and color. They also work predominantly in a similar scale; with the exception of seven small canvasses by Katz, most of the pieces run about 36 by 36 inches. That allows plenty of space for expressive brushwork. Pictured: “View From the Train” by Katz.
