She’s a little bit country; he’s a little bit rock ’n’ roll. She’s a Southern belle; he’s a burly northerner. She’s a chick; he’s a dude. When it comes to local duo Breaker Bend, it seems opposites do attract. They also kick ass. Originally known as Rumble Doll, the band has been a country-rockin’ staple of Vermont roadhouses for years. Enlisting a posse of ace local talent, Breaker Bend are set to unveil their second album with a release party at the Higher Ground Ballroom this Thursday. Rock’d Country open the show, and all proceeds benefit the United Way.
