Seven Days: Vermont's Independent Voice

It seems Grace Potter may have some stiff competition for future Seven Daysies awards. As was widely reported earlier this year, songwriter Neko Case (ex-The New Pornographers) is now a Vermont resident. Neat. But given her hectic tour schedule over the last few months in support of her terrific new album, Middle Cyclone, it seems she’s hardly had a chance to enjoy her new surroundings. (Note to Neko: It’s not always this rainy, we swear.) But that all changes Wednesday, August 5, when Case plays her first ever “homecoming” gig at Burlington’s Flynn MainStage with yet another talented Loudon Wainright-offspring, Lucy Wainright Roche. Welcome to Vermont, Ms. Case.
