In 2011, Detroit’s Prussia scored a hat trick with a trio of 10-inch releases, Poor English Parts 1, 2 and 3, that justifiably spun the collective music-blog cognoscenti into a tittering tizzy. The band’s hypertheatrical arrangements are laced with frenzied beats and changes, their rogue, libidinous songwriting seemingly lifted from a dog-eared copy of Charles Bukowski’s Women. This Monday, January 30, the band plays the Monkey House in Winooski. Discounted admission if you have a ticket stub from Thurston Moore’s Burlington gig the night before.
