Mike Doughty

Friday, February 22, 8PM at Tupelo Music Hall in White River Junction. $30.

Down to This

In the mid- to late 1990s, Mike Doughty was the leader of the band Soul Coughing. Behind the quirky beats and off-kilter lyrics of hit singles such as “Soft Serve” and “Circles,” the singer battled a dark secret: an addiction to heroin that ultimately derailed his career and nearly killed him. Doughty details the experience in his 2012 memoir, The Book of Drugs. Now clean for a decade and making music again, Doughty appears at the Tupelo Music Hall in White River Junction on Friday, February 22.
