"Land and Light"

This annual juried show at Bryan Memorial Gallery is one of the most sumptuous landscape exhibitions in the country. This year it features nearly 100 works by 68 artists around New England and beyond, and was judged by Stowe painter Rett Sturman. The Bryan gave first place — the coveted Alden Bryan medal — to Neil Drevitson of Woodstock, Vt., for his pastel, “The Awakening” (pictured). In addition to the honor, Drevitson took home a thousand dollars. Who says making art doesn’t pay? The exhibit is on view at the Jeffersonville gallery through September 20.
