I know that Memorial Day weekend is full of planting for most gardeners.  Down on Half Pint Farm here in the Intervale, we have already planted all of our potatoes, onions, cukes, squash and tomatoes - not to mention all of the rotational crops (salad mix, radishes, head lettuce, etc.).  Feels good to have had such a wonderful Spring; it rained every 3 days or so, and was warm enough to get the plants established early.  Anyone have any planting questions or variety questions, I'll do my best to answer them!  Have a happy holiday and enjoy the gorgeous planting weather!

Thank you so much for the offer! I have a plot at Tommy Thompson.  I see that a lot of people have already put in their cucumber and tomato starts.  Is it not too early for me to put these in the ground? Some of my tomato plants are about 3-4 inches tall.  Should I wait until they're taller? Could I transplant them now?
Also, not a planting question, but a general gardening question for anyone.  I get extreme back pain from weeding/hoeing/planting.  Any tips on stretching/general back care?

Thanks!
