In planning Vermont Restaurant Week, we're scheduling all sorts of cool events with food personalities, both local and otherwise. It's gotten me thinking: Is there anyone I would actually want to meet?

I have a feeling Tony Bourdain wouldn't be friendly. I wouldn't necessarily have tons to talk about with my favorite cookbook authors – I imagine they're shy. I'd like to talk to Martin Picard if his English were a little better...

Is there a food personality you've always wanted to meet?

Bourdain's No Reservations is one of the few entertaining food based shows left on televison.  Kind of ironic that it isn't on the food network.  Maybe he refused to dye his hair white and say "money" every third word...............................

I just saw Bourdain's Rockland Maine trip last week.  I really want to go to Primo, but there's like nothing else in the area for us to do. Smiley

I had not seen Bourdain's show about Rockland, but I had to go check out the restaurant Primo after you mentioned it Morganna. It looks really delicious.

As far as other things to do in Rockland, I started hunting around to try to find an excuse for me to go there as well.  Wink

Check out this site - I know it is touristy, but you never know! http://www.therealmaine.com/

Mebbe we'll head to Rockland next time we head to Maine.  Though I'm not sure when that'll be.  This year is chock full of travel stuff elsewhere. Smiley
