It's great.  I have used/enjoyed it in a lot of recipes and will mostly only buy Rhapsody brand, because it is the only local version. - 3 (50%)

I enjoy tempeh a lot.
I will be posting questions and thoughts for others soon, but first a fun poll, because we haven't had one yet on the forum!

Thanks for posting our first poll!

I have to admit that I didn't answer, because I haven't really eaten that much tempeh. But when I have had it, I've never thought: "Oh my god, this tempeh is so delicious."

I guess that I'll eat it when it's served to me, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it.

However, I really love tofu.

I find it really interesting that you love tofu.
i like it for it's versatility, and really, really fresh (hard to find) silken tofu is incredible,
but regular everyday today tofu, it doesn't really excite me... i mean we eat a lot of in the house, because it is easy and Micah loves it, but culinarily, it kinda bores me.

tempeh, on the other hand, has texture,  flavor, versatility, it's alive (fermented), it is TONS less process, whole beans. the same caveat applies for tempeh as tofu though. it has to be fresh.  Rhapsody is good, i don't even bother with the larger non-local brands (and only partially because they are not local, mostly because they are just not as good, for a number of reasons that I can expand on some other time, if there are people who'd be interested...)

anyway, suzanne, i'll have to try and wow you with some tempeh...
and if i remember correctly, when we all had dinner over at your place, i don't even think you tried the tempeh kabobs i made! (I may be wrong though)

see you saturday!

In my HBMO, tempeh is wayyyy better for you then tofu......as Justin says, it's a live food (already partly digested).....so it is readily available as energetic protein......a perfect alternative to meat......Smiley
