Don't get up to the big city often for dinner and I'm looking for a restaurant recommendation - doesn't have to be fancy, or it could be - just want to know peoples favorites and why - thanks!

Welcome to the forum, mmfmmf!

If you like Asian food, I would highly recommend the Asiana Noodle Shop on Church Street. It has a pretty lengthy menu which includes dishes from China, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea and more. My favorite dishes are the homemade lemongrass-pork sausage, Thai chicken wings, Tom Yum soup bowl, and the BBQ duck noodle soup. The avocado-tofu salad is great, too.

I've also had some great meals at L'Amante, although I wish they changed the menu up more often. There, the don't miss dishes are the squash blossoms, gnocchi with braised pork & cherries, and the basil ice cream with strawberries and balsamic vinegar.

For upscale Italian, I prefer Trattoria Delia. Their duck confit with honey-sautéed peppers is a must. My standby entrée is Tagliatelle alla Boscaiola – braised wild boar in a red wine-mushroom cream sauce over housemade pasta.

If you're much of a meat eater, though, nothing compares to Souza's. I'm talking 14 different meats, all-you-can-eat, brought to you on swords. Even if you're not as flesh-mad as I am, there's an 18 foot long salad bar. Really, the cheese bread alone is worth price of admission, which incidentally, is on the steeper side. Think of me while you enjoy your bacon-wrapped filet mignon.

On the less expensive side, I liked Big Fatty's BBQ place where Souza's used to be, that's Main street? I can't ever keep the streets the same.  I thought the pulled pork was tasty (not as good as my own, but you can't have everything Wink )
