And we all hear about the myriad strategies to reduce carbon emissions by sequestering it in trees, algae, etc. But what about carbon farming? - the practice of using appropriately managed pasture systems to build healthy topsoil (soil carbon) thereby creating a more verdant, productive agricultural landscape, sequester atmospheric carbon and provide an additional income stream for otherwise cash-strapped farmers.
