Hi!

Does anyone have a favorite brown sauce recipe they'd like to share? I love making my own for the fresher flavors and it's cheaper, too. This is what I do, but quantities are approximate as I've never used a real recipe.

2T fresh ginger, minced
4T fresh garlic, minced
3T sugar or honey or molasses
1-2T Sriracha or chili garlic sauce
1/2t white ground pepper
1/4c dark soy sauce
1/4c balsamic vinegar
3/4c beef or vegetable broth
Whatever else I see laying around that seems like a good idea at the time (like mustard powder, wasabi, red wine, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, etc.)

Simmer everything together for about 5-10 minutes. Thicken as much as you'd like with corn starch mixed up in 1/2c of water or more broth. Use on all types of stir fries, meat baste, rice, noodles, as a dipping sauce, soup base, etc..
