We've been getting a lot of broccoli in our farm shares and at the market recently.
So i just found this recipe and gave it a try; I tweaked it a bit (of course) based on what we had on hand in the house...
- Rough Chop 4-6 heads of broccoli (stems too, although i cut the edges off)
put in a pot and just cover with water (i also added a large handful of fresh parsley)
turn heat on high and simmer til just soft and nice bright green
take 1/4 to 1/2 cup of raw sunflower seeds and out them in your coffee grinder turned seed grinder. grind till nice and ground...
when the broccoli is ready, turn off heat, add sunflower seed meal, 2 tablespoons (or more) of miso, 4 cloves (or more!) of garlic, 1 tablespoon of nice oregano, 1-3 tablespoons of FolkFoods Master Sauce, and some black pepper.
Take your trusty immersion blender (a must have kitchen tool) and blend, blend, blend.
I can already imagine the potential variations...any ideas?
I'd already had dinner when i made this (it's going to be for lunch tomorrow), but since tasting, i've already had a bowl and might have some more before bed! yummy stuff!
Make a lot and share!
Eat together. Eat Well!
