If you haven't been to On the Rise yet, please, please go.

For dinner, I love anything that they put on their hand made flour tortillas (I usually choose something from the menu and add a bunch of extras.)  For breakfast, the OTR Special (I get it on a bagel) is consistently my favorite.  They grow much of their own food, support many local food businesses and have created an essential community gathering spot.  Many times when we bring our family there (we go often) we see many familiar smiling and well-fed faces.  Oh, and live music and other events...

Too many positive things to list, you can see visit their website at: http://ontherisebakery.net

Oh, as one last plug, if you are coming from the other side of the Richmond Bridge, fret not! Until the bridge is completed there will be a bike ferry going across the river, compliments of Local Motion.

Now, for a question: What's your favorite baked good at On the Rise?
I'll start: I can't get enough of the chocolate tea cakes!

See you there!

The food is tasty but I thought the sandwich I had was skimpy for the price.
