My vote: The BK Stacker. It has bacon, cheese, creamy sauce and up to four patties (930 calories). The coolest part is there are no veggies to get in the way of my heart attack.

I haven't tried at Baconator at Wendy's yet, but if it comes close to living up to the name, I might have a new contender.

What's your fave?

I was actually a little disappointed with the XT. They looked XT as advertised in the commercial, but were still far less substantial than a non-fast food burger in reality. For a bigger fast food burger, I'm pretty proud of McDonald's work on the Angus.

You and Suzanne should do a fast food review for the paper, Alice.  Seriously.

I was thinking they should do an advertising vs. reality assessment like these guys.

Hey Molly, The link you put down under "these guys" is broken for some reason. Could you try it again?

Please, no!

I've eaten just one fast food burger since I graduated from high school — a Burger King Whopper — and it was out of road-trip desperation (I admit it tasted good. But I was super hungry.).

Well before I'd heard about factory farming, I read that people who raised cattle for the industry were clear-cutting rain forest to produce more beef, and that some of the fast food companies were involved in human rights abuses. That's when I stopped eating the stuff.

I know...how boring and earnest of me. And now that I'm a "full-fledged conscious omnivore," the thought of eating factory farmed meat actually makes my stomach turn. I do it on occasion for work, but I have to try really hard not to think about it.

So, I think I'll leave the fast-food-eating to Alice.

Oh my gosh Molly! That website really made me start to get a little sick as I was going through the pictures. I'm not a fast food eater - I kind of forgot how gross it looks. Then when its put next to the advertising photos . . .

What I think is most interesting about fast food is that when you eat it or smell it it both tastes and smells good. However, when you think about what is in it, it can make you shiver. At least, that is my reaction — and Suzanne's too I assume. I've heard that people are predisposed to like foods that are full of salt, fat, and sugar because those things were very hard to come by in prehistoric times. Also, they have a lot of calories which the human body craves out of innate survival instincts.

Fast food is so counter intuitive.
