Just tried a Quorn patty for the first time and loved it! It might be because it's a weird, processed Franken-food, made from synthesized fungus, but I found it far tastier than tofu, tempeh or even seitan. I had the cranberry and goat cheese "chik'n" cutlet and enjoyed it enough that I plan on buying it again, unless I spring for the Gruyère-stuffed variety instead.

Does anyone else have an opinion of Quorn?

Yes! I really like all the Quorn products I've had. They're great to make sandwiches, "chicken" parm, and sliced up over salad. Sometimes we have nostalgia night dinners with school cafeteria themes. One of the essentials for doing it meat-free is the Quorn nuggets to go with our tater tots and canned green beans.

My friend Brooke and I have been working on our repertoire of "vegan white trash" menus for years. Quorn is an important part of our heroic efforts.
