Melding hypnotic Jamaican ska and reggae grooves with brutal metal-core sludge, Brooklyn’s fearsome instrumental threesome Dub Trio are downright scary. Or, as Magnet magazine puts it with regard to the band’s aptly titled new album, Another Sound Is Dying, “enough to make even the heartiest dread swallow his spliff.” Rastafarians, be warned. This ain’t your father’s dub. This Monday, the massive attack hits Club Metronome with help from local rockers Brother Through Glass and Workingman’s Army.
