With a cozy, fire-lit dining room, a legendary wine list and a menu that doesn’t quit, Trattoria Delia has long been a go-to place for hard-core Italophiles and couples in search of romanza. And what better way to get acquainted than over grilled shrimp and white beans with arugula, a shared plate of house-made gnocchi in a tomato-basil butter sauce, and the famous filet mignon — braised in red wine and demi-glace and topped with truffle butter?

The gracious, helpful service doesn’t hurt; resto owners Tom and Lori Delia ensure that all new servers get a crash course in the myriad styles of Italian wines. Fun fact: In season, much of the restaurant’s produce comes from the Delia family garden.
