There’s no better people watching in Vermont than on Burlington’s Church Street Marketplace, and Leunig’s allows patrons to soak up the scene in style. Jazz, cocktails and cozy French favorites only add to the ambiance.

It’s not all Euro at the 29-year-old eatery. Although Chef Donnell Collins still dishes up classics such as Escargot Maison and Croque Monsieur, she gets creative, too. The lunch menu includes a house-made black-bean burger and, even more unusual, strawberry-and-cashew-crusted salmon with a drizzle of vanilla bean crème fraîche.

Known for personally greeting customers at the door, General Manager Bob Conlon presides over the front of the house with a smile, and ensures that the eatery gives back to the community by participating in fundraisers for worthy causes. Leunig’s isn’t just a place to grab lunch; it’s a package deal.
