Artist Jean Cannon’s work ranges from “personal interpretations of the natural world to curious statements from the subconscious,” she writes in an artist statement. Even when painting representational images, she tries to incorporate a dose of the surreal. The Burlington artist plays with color and light to create an otherworldly feel in her still lifes, landscapes and portraits of birds. Cannon is selling her original watercolor and acrylic paintings at her Canpaint Studio Holiday Sale at the Chace Mill in Burlington, November 30, noon to 6 p.m., and December 1, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pictured: “Canada Goose.”
