After rising to critical acclaim as one half of Pontiac, Michigan, alternative hip-hop duo Binary Star, MC OneManArmy struck out on his own, converted to Islam and changed his stage name to One Be Lo. Though his casually confrontational style doesn’t readily lend itself to mainstream success, his thought-provoking lyrical prowess has endeared him to underground hip-hop fans across the country. This Thursday the well-traveled MC shares the stage with local hip-hop provocateurs The Aztext, The Truth and New York’s Busy Bisc 1 at Club Metronome.
