Member Benefits and Advantages

Co-op Members purchase equity ($15 annually) which entitles them to a variety of benefits and advantages:

• Discounts at many locally-owned businesses through our Community Connections Program.
• Eligibility for a Patronage Refund (based on a percentage of each member's purchases and the store's profit from member sales).
• An opportunity to volunteer in and out of the Co-op for store discounts.
• The featured Artist of the Month in our Member Artist Café Gallery.
• Free water from the reverse osmosis water machine
• Reduced advertising rates in our monthly newsletter, The Onion Skin.
• Attend bi-annual membership meetings (includes delicious free food!)

Becoming a Co-op member is easy and affordable. Membership in Onion River Co-op is as easy as buying equity each year ($15).  Once a member has purchased $200 in equity, they are considered fully-capitalized.

The Co-op's new Food-for-All member program provides a 10% discount on all purchases (excluding wine and beer) for Vermonters who are eligible to receive Food Stamps; Women, Infants & Children (WIC); and Disability assistance.
